Founder
Philip Onaga
Principal Consultant · Founder
Philip founded AssetOptz Solutions to bring grounded, operationally-aware consulting to industrial clients across Australia. He brings 17 years of professional experience across asset management, maintenance, and reliability engineering — including senior consulting roles delivering strategy and improvement work for mid-tier and major resources clients.
His career spans reliability and asset management roles with Assetivity, Xenco Services, BHP, Rio Tinto, Harmony Gold/Newcrest, Energy Resources Australia, and OK Tedi — across mining and mineral processing, oil and gas, water utilities, and transport infrastructure.
Areas of specialist expertise include asset management maturity assessment, maintenance planning and scheduling, CMMS/ERP selection and implementation, operational and maintenance readiness, preventive maintenance optimisation (RCM and PMO), root cause analysis and defect elimination, and maintenance quality assurance.
Philip works directly with clients on every engagement — ensuring the brief is understood, the scope stays tight, and the delivery actually lands on site.
