Assetoptz Solutions was founded by a group of friends in 2019 with the intent to capitalise on the current demand for Asset Management, Reliability, Condition Monitoring and Maintenance solutions to the mining and processing industries. The firm was established with a vision to be among the best providers of asset management solutions in the Australasian region.

We provide innovative asset management solutions for operational and equipment challenges across the mining and other industrial (agriculture, food processing and transportation/logistics etc.) sectors.

Our key to success is to invest in modern business methods that have been tried and tested over the years since the asset management concept was born and supply to clients a version that is more robust and suited to the clients environment.

We aim to build a reputation for quality, trust, professionalism and reliability, with a strategic intent.

Our Team

We have a team of approximately 3 full-time permanent consultants and 5 casual consultants located in Brisbane and Perth, as well as an additional team of Associate Consultants that we use to supplement the skills off our permanent staff.

Our PNG team consists of our Country Manager and 2x Engineers in Lae and Project Manager in Port Moresby

Our current leadership team consists of the following people.

Rodney Banama

Director/Principal Consultant, Perth

Rodney is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Reliability Systems modelling through University of Western Australia. He has over 15 years of mining industry, predominantly on asset equipment maintenance reliability. Rodney worked in both Papua New Guinea and Australia. He spent 7 years in Newcrest Lihir Gold operations as a Reliability Engineer and 8 years with BHP Western Australia Iron Ore operations and Global functions. In BHP, Rodney has worked as a Reliability Engineer, and seconded into leadership roles as Superintendent Maintenance Analysis & Improvement and Superintendent Mobile Equipment Maintenance.

Rodney is currently a member of the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professional (SMRP) and Asset Management Council, WA chapter (AMCWA). Rodney is always passionate about latest research and technologies to enhance knowledge in Asset Management; thus, giving the business a competitive edge over competitors.

Wendy Diana Kera

Director/Principal Consultant, Brisbane

Wendy is a very proactive and passionate about everything Condition Monitoring (ConMon). She loves the challenge of optimizing plant and equipment availability and performance and the ability to apply predictive cost-effective maintenance solutions. Wendy brings extensive mining experience and working knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, motors, ball mills, crushers, feeders and conveyor systems. Her passion for defect elimination to resolve critical issues means that Wendy always goes the extra mile to ensure that root causes are identified, and preventive measures implemented which she pairs with her inexhaustible quest for innovative technology solutions. Wendy believes she had been very lucky to have worked in culturally diverse companies in different countries, where differences are valued and respected. Her experience includes residential mining roles, fly in fly out, and global corporate roles. Using ConMon best practice when developing holistic maintenance strategies has produced incredible results in all organizations. Wendy and her family live in Brisbane.

Terence Sadua

Director/Country Manager, Lae (PNG)

Terence is a Maintenance Engineering Consultant and Entrepreneur. He has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from the Papua New Guinea (PNG) University of Technology. And a Bachelor in Business management from the Divine Word University also in PNG. He is also a registered engineering practitioner with the Institute of Engineers PNG. Terence is the Managing Director of Milingsea Investment Limited, with businesses in PNG Construction and Engineering sector. Terence is also specialised in Fixed Plant maintenance and Project Management in a range of industries which includes Mining, Food Processing and Construction industries in PNG. He is also the Assetoptz PNG resident Director and Country Manager. With his role , he aspires to contribute to improving the maintenance for PNG Industries, elevating its standards to world’s best practices.
